workYay! so happy! I did confocal stuff today!! HAha it's something new and very interesting.:) I;m happy.
But recently *ahem* just got from bad to worse. He has finally started attacking us attachment students. Today, he said that we are ACTING busy at work. ACTING. hello? who in the right mind will want to act busy by staying 12 hrs in the lab a day? while he goes home at5 plus 6 and comes in late in the morning. We aren't even permanent staff and it's not like we get paid doing over time or something. (and the permanent staff dont either) On monday, the first day of the week, in the morning, he scolded the post docs and pHD student in the lab, followed by the lab biologists. He scolded this post doc because his computer died on him while he was typing his usual lengthy and naggy reply to that post doc's report. And today, he attacked the students as well!!! SMART! he has just offended the entire lab! He has officially completed the entire cycle, which i presume will start very soon. argh. Ithink the permanent staff are so poor thing.
Anw, that aside. Today was one of the post doc's birthday!! :) and cheryl and I made jelly for him and the entire lab. HAHA. actually it wasnt especially for him but we just had the crazy idea if making an edible agarose gel using normal agar agar. haha. So we made this rectangular agar(with cocktail fruits in it) and cut wells in it, filling them with blue coloured 7-up as the fake" DNA samples". it's so cute! haha. and of course we made a normal peach agar agar too.So we went to work extra early today and made it in the pantry. People there were wondering what are these 2 girls doing with containers and spoons and canned fruits early in the morning in a pantry! ahha so embarassing. YAY! they liked it alot.:):) though that post doc still didnt believe that the "gel" is edible. He keep questioning if the blue thign was bromophenol blue. haha. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
