H-E-L-L-O-!
it's been so long since i last blogged ( and i always say that eh? ) and for the past weeks/months, my life's been good:) coz He is good to me, always.
this hols has been quite exciting for me so far, haha experienced lots of different kinds stuff..at the beginning, it was the slacker cum shopperholic, kinda tai tai-ish life, then life got more exciting when mission trip drew near, and in the trip, i believe we all experienced Him in many ways which are just so real to us.. and of course now, it's the attachment days, moving from the hectic inpatient pharmacy to the more relaxed outpatient. haha and each "phase" of the hols are just so different. haha esp btw attachment and mission.. makes me miss the simplicity of life there so much.. we kinda agreed that even tho we'll always say the sky on thailand is beautiful and all, in actual fact, in singapore, we are still living under the same beautiful sky.. it's just that we often let the busy-ness of life get to us that we don't see what seems so apparent to us. And somehow it just speaks to me that alot of times, we say we don't see how God is working in our lives, but maybe we're just too distracted by the 1001 things on our minds.
Anw, last sunday's sermon was about celebration and thanksgiving. Yup, agreed, humans are just such forgetful people that it's really amazing how God can be sooooo patient with us. :) and here are just some stuff that i hope i wont forget, or stop being thankful about:
Thank God for the chance to be able to go on mission trip and witness His doings. Thank God for for the super-good weather, and even the showers of blessings that just showed us how His plans are always the best, even though sometimes it's just way out of our expectations(who would have thought that the heavy rain was actually good for a village evangelism?) Thank God for the locals who are willing to serve faithfully in phayak church while the rest of us can only go at most twice a year ( and alr find it difficult to take time off to do it) Thank God for letting us see how passionate these people are about the gospel, and truly love Him, and so, serve Him in all ways they can. Thank God for His ever-beautiful creations:). Thank God for the fellowship we have with our bro and sisters in christ across different countries, language, churches and services. We are the church, His church, a single church, the body of Christ. Thank God for opening our eyes to the real purpose of mission trips. Thank God for being our source of strength, our protector and provider.:)
And here's one of the many songs which i find v meaningful:) that i wanna share with u guys!
btw, God's been v sweet ( i really feel like using this word tho i know it's not that um.. suitable or commonly used) since attachment started:) there were times where i really felt like i might just collapse soon, coz it's really quite hectic. but on days like these, He showed me verses that really encouraged me tremendously :)
Isaiah 43:1-3 1 But now, this is what the LORD says— he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the LORD, your God...
Press on! He is with us, no matter what we are facing:)
