Purposeful Day.

hmm, my title sounds funny, reminds me of the 40 days of purpose. HAHA. But today i had a wonderful day doinf quite alot of stuff...hehe. actually it's really not alot, but it filled my whole day! haha.

In the morning, we had covenant discipleship group at westmall macs. And as usual, i was LATE again ! :( so sorry fio and meng! haha. It's always the 2 of you waiting for us. haha. But today we didnt have full attendance again:( but at least there's an improvement! we had 5 ple today! instead of the usual 4 :):):) but we didnt have bible study :(

Then in the afternoon, i went with my school friends to help out at this nursing home at sembawang. They had Dragonboat festival celebration today. :) But coz ziyan had her yoga and i had cdg, we both went late.Oh and we met Andy on the train. haha. what a coincidence!When we stepped into the home, i felt quite sad for the residents there, because the atmosphere there is just so grey. Though the sight of volunteers helping out was quite heart warming. :) Today we were supposed to help wheel the people around and help giving out food . They also put up music perormances -- flute and cello, erhu, and guitar+singing(more of a singalong).The response was quite good, tho there was this indian uncle who kept shouting "I'M SO BORED".I think he's quite poor thing . I wanted to go talk to him but i was afraid tt he would complain more and disrupt the performance. OH! then there was this cute uncle who sat beside him who reprimanded him for shouting. haha. so cute! they're just like kids :) haha. Oh then i wheeled this old lady and sort of took charge of her for today. Everything was ok except for the fact tt we were comunicating using in entirely different dialects! HAHA. At first i thought she was hainanese then i realised she's cantonese. But my dialects are so lousy and mixed up that i was talking to her in a teochew-hokkien hybrid kind of dialect. wow. And we could sort of underatnd each other! HAHA amazing. I think they really don't mind if u can speak well or not, but what matters is that they have someone with them, willing to talk to them.:) However, i think it's time to learn some dialects. haha. Oh and i realised that she doesnt like mushrooms. haha. coz she didnt like haveing tt in her pao. haha. After the meal they had some games but some of them wanted to go back so i whelled them back. Then, i faced a situation. I wheeled 4 of them into the lift and realised there was no one there to help me! :S and the lift door kept closing and the uncle which was in the innermost part of the lift insisted on getting out first, which was quite impossible. So, in the end, by the time i wheeled one of them out, the lift door closed and the 3 other to a tour to the 3rd floor before coming down again. haha. oops. But in the end i managed to wheel them out! YAY! :) happy

OOH, then after that, i met my parents for dinner and shopping! haha. i bought this sling bag from MEXX at 50 % discount! yay! :)

And that concludes ,my fruitful day! :)
