FLT J316 :)

i love the camp. i love the com. i love His plans. i love Him. Our God is simply amazing!
who says miracles don't happen? who says there;s no prove of answered prayers?
my friends turning up at the camp are answered prayers and the weather throughout the camp is a big miracle.

All these years i havent really put in effort to ask my friends to come for camp. But well, this year, i took the step and asked. we put their names on the prayer board and every single new friend was prayed for. At times it just seems quite impossible for them to be able to make it--school, work, overseas vacations-- but in the end they did. :) it's God at work.

11th Dec 2007.
Outdoor games scheduled at ard 8pm and it was raining till 7 plus but the sky cleared when we were out.. and it didn't rain until we were safe and sound and perfectly dry, back in church. :) coincidence? there's more...

12th Dec 2007.
Indoor games the whole day, so the weather didn't really affect that much. :) but well, the rain brought cool breeze which was great! and the stock exchange game went smoothly... ;)

13th Dec 2007.
Today a an entire day out.. and God gave us a timely gift of bright sunshine!!! it's been days, or even weeks since we saw a clear blue sky :) the weather was really nice.. not too warm and it didn't rain until 5 pm, when the everyone was supposed to be back by then.. and by that time, most people were back already.. :) YAY! later on, we had a lil game of sardines( most people don't really know that that game was called sardines.. ahha) and tug of war. And again, by the time the game started and people were out, trying to search for our flight "captain", the rain stopped!!! and thankfully the rain had also softened the ground, which made tug of war more fun and less painful. ahha imagine all the scratches that we can get when we fall on dry hard ground :S amazing isn't it? conincidence? i don't think so.

14th Dec 2007.
This is THE day. One of the programs was to get the campers to go to the hillview grass patch and spend some time alone. Alone to reflect on their life, and alone to spend time with God. :)
We've been praying for this day. The weather mattered so much! imagine... if it were to rain, or even a thunderstorm, campers would be in the rain with no shelter at all and not to mention the dangers of having lightning in such a big open field! right before the program started, when the campers were observing silence to prepare for the program, it started to drizzle. people must be thinking: uh oh.. it's raining.. we probably have to have wet weather program or plan B. BUT. it's meaningless to have the program indoors because you wouldnt feel what you're supposed to-- being close to nature, being close to God, the creator. Afew of us gathered together and prayed and observed the weather for awhile. The decision was to go ahead. If it was God's plan to rain, perhaps he has sth to tell through it. We sent out the groups one by one and they went ahead with the programs. The sky, by that time, was filled with huge grey clouds,those that you would get before a thunderstorm. Miraculously, the rain didnt get heavier! the clouds were there, but not any downpours! not only is there no rain, but coz the clouds were there, the weather wasnt too hot or too sunny too! feedback of the "alone" time was quite good:) and i the rain sorta stalled the campers, for them to really quieten themselves down for the session.
I'm amazed by the way God works.

Later on, we had a great time at alpha night and water games too :) haha i got so wet that i dun even know who bombed me. hahha but it was fun!

Camp's ending. And from the sharing by the campers, they enjoyed the camp. Thank God for huiding and leading us through all the planing, preparation and execution of the plan. It's really amazing how he works and His plans will never fail! We often pray for certain stuff to happen or certain things to be done and when things don't go our way, we complain. we are discouraged. we ask WHY? But if we were to look at the full picture, why should things go our way? if God has created the whole universe and all the wonders of the nature, if He is that wonderful God, isn't His plans much better? I am awed by His works. :)

Alpha camp 2007 -- FLT J316-Last flight Out?/最后航班？Has officially taken off, on it's journey to salvation. Through this flight, i learnt lots of things through working together with the committee and seeing how He makes everything work together. I really really love serving together with our dear bros and sis in christ. there's never been anything better than serving together for Him :) I love the committee and i will definitely miss each and every one of you. I've been blessed to be part of this com to have a chance to serve together. Though most of the time i'm not really sure of when to step in and help or when to jus support you guys, but you guys are great! Looking forward to serving together again! XOXO!!! :D :D :D

As for those who are thinking of joining the com next year, pray about it and go for it! :)
you wont regret ;) looking forward to next year's camp! ha
